These terms cover both the merchants who list with the association and the visitors who use the directory to find them.

Listings are open to independent businesses operating within the Leh district that hold a current membership of the Merchant Association of Ladakh. Accounts are admitted by the secretariat; creating an account does not by itself place a business in the directory.
Memberships run to a fixed expiry date. A member whose membership has expired keeps access to their listing for thirty days so it can be renewed. After that window the listing is withdrawn from the public directory until the association renews the membership; the entered details are kept in the meantime.
The association may suspend access where a member no longer meets the standards of the association, misrepresents their business, or does not settle dues. The reason is shown to the member on their desk.
Members are responsible for the accuracy of everything on their listing — prices, stock, opening hours and contact details included — and for holding the rights to any photograph they upload. Listings must describe a real business trading in the district.
The directory is a guide, not a shop. The association does not sell goods, take payment, or handle orders. Stock figures and prices are entered by merchants and may be out of date — contact the business before travelling for a particular item.
The association does not act as a party to any transaction between a visitor and a member, and cannot arbitrate disputes over goods bought in person.
If a listing is inaccurate, or if you believe content infringes your rights, write to the secretariat. The association will investigate and may amend or withdraw a listing.
These terms may be revised as the association's rules change. The date above records the most recent revision.
